New Adventure!

We’ve been itching to share the news of our new adventure! We are nearly 4 months pregnant and my belly has really “popped” in the last few weeks!

IMG_1606This beautiful process is quite different than anything else I’ve experienced. I’m enchanted by my growing passion for giving myself joyfully to our child’s development, as I feel the budding presence of our little baby. I feel so fortunate to be a physical vehicle for creation! It is a humbling experience, impressing how little I understand about the fabric we contribute to, and receive fuel from. Delight in this mystery has become my baseline sensation, animating each moment with a sunny texture… even the less savory ones;)! As we get closer to the due date, I feel less frightened about delivery, and more… curious. I anticipate sharing an experience that connects women to our female ancestors, and I’m so eager to meet our baby.

I’d love to hear about your experiences as mother or father!

“The middle layer [of the uterus] is composed of fibres which run in all directions, matted closely together; the most important fibres are entwined in ‘figures of eight’ formation and whorls round the large blood vessels.” ~ Grantly Dicke-Read in Childbirth Without Fear

About Biocadence

Hello! I’m Annie Tichenor, Founder of Biocadence, LLC ( I hope to ignite a path toward over-consumption recovery, global sibling interconnectedness, and quality-of-life design. A few years ago, I began measuring my impact on the environment. Since then I’ve analyzed my energy-use habits while researching the impact of over-consumption on the global hunger epidemic, global relations and global quality of life. This process has driven me to notice the disparity between my environmental impact in the past and my footprint goal for the future. My drive to change my own habits has evolved into a desire to share my strategies. I crafted the Biocadence Recipe and the Impact/Disturbance (ID) Model, to illustrate the critical role of behavioral sustainability in the sustainable lifestyle transition process. Biocadence is focused on increasing the accessibility of sustainable living and facilitating the rhythm of humanity in harmony with nature. The vision of Biocadence is to build a community of environment-lovers who come together to leverage each other’s knowledge and celebrate sustainable living accomplishments. You are such an energizing light, my friend! My belly has really popped out since last I saw you!!!!

Have I read The Red Tent?!!! How many times is the question??!!! I think you’ve pinned one of the many historical fiction books that influences my frequent mention of connection with ancestors:)! I have a copy in the bookcase… I should give it another spin while pregnant! Thank you for the suggestion. Currently reading: “Childbirth Without Fear”, quoted in this blog post.

I’d love to see you soon, yes!? Thank you for reading;)
